Wow, talk about accountability…this is only my third post of UFQs and I’m already embarrassed by my out-of-sight, out-of-mind mentality. And why do I need to buy any more fabric or patterns?!?
PROJECT NAME: French Roses Baby QuiltDATE STARTED: 2005
ORIGINAL PURPOSE: A baby gift for my friend Mari’s baby, who is now in preschool and far too sophisticated for a baby blankie!
CURRENT STATE: Here it is, many of the blocks were finished at a retreat in Fall/Winter 2005…I’m not sure they have been touched since.REASON FOR NOT FINISHING IT: Who knows? Obviously, I do have a problem with out-of-sight, out-of-mind things. Perhaps I need to start storing everything in transparent containers!?!
PLAN FOR FINISHING IT: While everyone I know keeps having baby boys, I should get this finished up and keep it on hand for a girly gift when the time comes. It is very soft and pretty, and I have no reason NOT to finish it! I’ll shoot for the end of 2008.
More to come…
those blocks are really pretty!! looking forward to seeing the finsished little quilt!
What a good idea, UFO Accountability. I like the way that you’re up front about the whats and whys – PLUS you put a positive spin by deciding what needs to be done next. I think that will be a <>huge<> help in actually getting things done!>>Hmmm… I might use this idea myself, in the privacy of my own sewing room. 🙂
I love that pattern and your blocks are gorgeous!
