I managed a few finishes for Jacquie’s Spring to Finish challenge in April. So, lest you think I accomplished nothing creatively in April due to the lack of posts…I have a few pics for you.
There were the onesies, you’ve already seen…and a four year old UFO that I finished and mastered free-motion quilting on…modeled here by the quirky-but-loveable, Kato…There will be another post on the quilt when I get better pics taken. This is a wallhanging I completed as a shop sample:
Not crazy about the fact that the blue background doesn’t look very flat in this pic (it was finished before I mastered free-motion, or I would have stippled the background!), and it was laying on the floor here and does look better when hanging up.
And another….made with Darlene Zimmerman’s nifty Dresden ruler/template…
Some boards I made for gifts. A birthday gift for my best friend’s scrapbooking room…
and a bridal shower gift for another friend who was married this past Saturday…
So, there you have it. I have been getting projects done. My weekends have been filled with weddings, showers, festivals, farmer’s markets and other fun Spring activities, but we still get a rainy day now and again that gives me some indoor quality time in the studio. I’m hoping to log a few good finishes for the month of May as well. I do have two long weekends coming up….
It looks like you have been busy and I would say that you did accomplish quite a bit.
At least you’ve gotten a few posts in, I’ve been swamped at home and work and feel really guilty reading everyone else’s blogs and doing nothing with mine…
Great job on the Boards! Love them.
hello! love your work! your kickin butt! Also I had a question to ask you about some local machine quilters in your area if you could shoot me an email! 🙂 whoopdedoo_5 at hotmail .com
Wow, you have some great finished projects here! Happy to see you are working on machine quilting too. It’s fun, isn’t it? I’m learning too.

My great grandmother used to quilt and those look like fabrics she used (she used some that turned into today’s Hello Betty line).
If you have time, can you e-mail the answer to graphicalee@gmail.com?
I’m in the Des Moines area, just an FYI. My friend whoopdedoo_5 was asking about quilters in our area for me. 🙂
