I’ve been anticipating August for a few reasons, first of all, it means we are one step closer to autumn weather (Thank God!) but mostly, because it meant I would get to meet someone very special…
My sister and her hubby welcomed this little angel into the world early this morning, and I had the pleasure of hearing her coo over the phone before she was even forty minutes old! And I was elated to meet her face-to-face and hold her in my arms just a few hours later. What a great start to the day!
Yesterday was a first for me, quilting bee-wise… I brought the mail in, opened Terri’s envelope and sat down and started sewing her block immediately (Victoria must be rubbing off on me!) 😉
lots of pressing seams in alternating directions, sewing together squares, then rows…and in the end a lovely Anna Maria Horner Garden Party block:
Also in yesterday’s mail was my Love in a Mist block from Megan in Seattle…isn’t it lovely?–
Thanks you, Megan!
And, congrats, little Sis!
Look at that sweet baby girl! So
precious! Me thinks her Auntie Doris is going to spoil her rotten!
🙂
I'm happy for you to be an Auntie, and to a baby GIRL! So much potential for future sewing! I hope you're close enough that you'll get to guggle (my grandson's term for snuggles) her often. That OBO block from Megan is a gorgeous colorway. Well done, you!
Oooooo….great blocks! Love them both! And congrats on becoming an auntie again! Oh, she is just adorable. And what a beautiful name. Hope you get to spoil her rotten!
haha! I need to get on her block, thanks for reminding me! LOL!
what a cute wee one!!
